All right. Let's see if I got this right....a youtube video should appear......here...
The topic of overblows having a funky or tinny sound, sticking out when used, has been debated. I happen to feel that they can be brought to a level where they sound seamless. This video was filmed without my knowing when I taught at a Jam Camp. The persnickety artist in me wants to say that, had I know it was for posterity, I would have paid closer attention to my 3 hole inhale first bends, which I overshot a bit quite a few times. oops. However, aside from missing the first 6OB I went for and perhaps one other slight miff, these OB's sound pretty seamless to me, at least approaching that total seamless concept.
Also, my style has moved towards total improv almost all the time, pausing between ideas to see where the notes would next lead me. (Can you tell I study Miles Davis and his philosophy towards music A LOT? He's my hero).
Would like to hear other attempts at seamless overblowing, and yes, I know, Carlos Del Junco is almost there in his style of playing (he's also my favorite, along with Paul DeLay, Kim Wilson and Rick Estrin)._

Iceman, you are the MAN! Wow that was just great. I was on the edge of my seat. Everytime you took the harp away from your mouth, I just thought, he's never gonna get it back in time. But you did! Great playing. Very enjoyable. Thanks. ----------
