Hey, I'm thinking of buying a harp at this price range (around 65 $) and after research I concluded to these two.I was hoping to tell me wich one you think is best and why.
Thanks.

Here's the difference the way I understand it:
Deluxe- nut and bolt Construction. Rounded tines. Partially sealed pear wood comb. Tuned the same as standard marine bands
Crossover- nut and bolt construction. Rounded tines. LAMINATED BAMBOO comb. Tuned differently (I believe it's tuned to be more focused toward individual notes oppose to chords.)
If you're having to ask the differences you probably won't notice then even played back to back. If I had to choose? I don't know any more. Im on record for saying ten times out of ten I'd buy the crossover. After playing my Deluxe's more, I don't know. For me, it isn't enough of a factor on my playing. I guess I'd buy a crossover.
I agree, puh-tay-toe....puh-tah-toe.

Apart from repeating what 7o3 said about tuning, I think that Hohner recently redesigned the covers on the Deluxe so as to better avoid the bloody annoying reed rattle on the lower keys. I think I read that info on their website, but I'm a bit too knackered to bother checking it now. If that is true then those newer models may not have reached the shops yet, but I think you can order them directly from Hohner. At least that's the impression I got from a post by HarpNinja in another thread.
I think the Crossover was designed with a bit more clearance in the cover plates from the get-go, but I'm not sure as I lost my only one at a jam, so I can't make any comparison. ---------- YouTube SlimHarpMick

I have a few of both. Recommend you try them both if you can. But I think I prefer the Deluxe. Something about the bamboo comb in the Crossover...it's a bit rough to me. Deluxe is nice and smooth.
