I don't know how many of you have seen youtube explosion that is Sergio Flores dressing as the 'sexy sax man'... barging in anywhere and everywhere and playing the sax line from George Michael's "Careless Whisper".

I just came upon this video last night.. already 12 million views!

The song is in D minor.. I just HAD to figure it out! I came across a video of another guy explaining the melody on a melodica. The line goes like this:

"E D A F, E D A F"
"C Bb F D, C Bb F D"
"Bb A F D Bb..."
and then plays a major scale up
"A Bb C D E F G A"

wash, rinse, repeat.

OK... so this works on a number of harps in a number of different positions. I found that the most user-friendly position is 4th position on an F (or low F)in the key of Dm.

So here it is... you can all be the sexy harmonica man (or woman), as long as you go shirtless and rock the mullet and mustache (adhesive ok.)

Here's how you play the melody on an F harp in 4th position:

7 6 5> 4>, 7 6 5> 4>
6> 5 4> 3", 6> 5 4> 3"
5 5> 4> 3" 2"
2> 2" 2 3" 3 4> 4 5>

>=blow note
"= full step bend

you can thank me later. :)

I should also mention that there are a number of backing tracks on youtube for you to get that sweet smooth bass & drums to back you up while you get sexy.

here's a short one:

Chad-You do realize, of course, that you will be expected to play this at tomorrow's meeting? The suspenders, aviators and permullet would be a nice touch, too.
