Check w/Chicago Ill. State Attorney's Office.

You might find that all charges against Harrison have been resolved.

Just trying to get some info for a friend who's still interested in the design mainly the vertical milled reeds.I hear some folks say those vertical milled reeds were the best ever made to this day,nothing touches them.

As I said in a post a while back, (a thread I've not touched since for good reason), my contact at the IL Atty Gen's office has said that Harrison and his organization seemingly evaporated overnight. No one has a bead on where he went, who's supposedly taking over the design, or what happened to the money he took in for purchases. The charges against Harrison may have been "resolved", but that doesn't mean that the consumer is going to see any benefit from the resolution. If and when production resumes on this design, it'll likely make national news, but probably it'll be in the Rockford Register-Star and Chicago Tribune first since those two papers were the closest followers of Harrison.

groyster...

I believe that the Attorney Generals Office, after looking at all the evidence, decided that there was no wrongdoing on Harrison's part and dropped the case...

That has been my experience with entities like this in the past, but perhaps Hawkeye can contact that office for more specifics.

@Iceman

Contacting the Atty Gen's office is still doable for me, but it may take a while to go through the channels I use. I HAVE written the reporter at the Rockford Register-Star who was assigned the Harrison debacle to see if she has any new info on it.

I would like to make a final statement,"Thanks to all invoved,either willingly or unwillingly for your sacrifices and patience in helping to support the development of the vertical milled reed.A reed development break thru made possible by all you."A major development in reed technolgy.Time to reflect!

There's no breakthrough in a technology that you neither use yourself, nor open-source / sell to another manufacturer

In fact, this is called showing off.

What I found the most interesting in the B-rad was the idea of individual replacable reeds. Not the design, the matters, and so on, I don't care much about that.

But if I could replace a reed on my promaster when it's broken, that would make me happy. Surely one day it will be possible.

Speaking of replacement parts...maybe I've just been under a rock for a while, but I was under the impression that Hohner NEVER sold SP20 reedplate screws to the public. This says unavailable at this time, but still it appears they did sell them. How long has this gone on?
