I'm a fairly new harp player, but I've got the basics down. I'd like to play Japanese Prison Blues (from South Park) for my friend. I've seen another thread about this scene, but I can't find tabs for it anywhere. I tried tabbing it out myself but I don't know the instrument well enough yet to do it.
I'd really appreciate anyone's help. I'm sure other people would too(considering there are YT videos with lots of "tabs please" comments :P)
I figure the first part is: warble 4-5 hold-5 -4 -3?
I don't really care if it isn't 100% accurate, any input would be great!
IMHO TABS are ridiculous for harmonica, especially on something as basic as this. There are all kinds of subtleties of technique that you can't put down on paper. Reminds me of a Nigel Tufnell TAB in Guitar Player magazine complete with tongue drawings. Sit down with the recording and just learn it by ear. You'll become a much better player and probably even learn the tune. ---------- LSC
It's hard to figure out the tune if you don't really have anything to go on. I'm not asking for specific tabs, just something in the direction I should be playing..

Welcome to the forum. You'll need to play a B harmonica in second position for these tasy little riffs. Learning to play tunes by ear is an important part of the process. If you have the right harmonica (and not many beginners have one in B, as its fairly uncommon key) and still can't figure it, let me know and I'll give it a go. Just for starters though, try -1, -4 -5 warble (beginning with a scoop), -4 releasing to 4, glissando to -1 for the first lick ---------- Lucky Lester
