Answer ****EFFECTIVE 4/15/10, THIS FORUM IS CLOSED TO NEW MEMBERS. WE HAVE RECENTLY BEEN DELUGED WITH SPAM. OUR APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE!,
i think it's to early to open the gate just yet, and would like to find some suggestions in welcoming new members to the forum other than leaveing it all up to Adam,
possibly with Probation times to gauge a new members conduct toward to Forum,
My way of doing things is very regimentle and would have a full political agender President Sargent at Arms secratary the full gumut,
that way members become Blooded into the club from Noms To Prospects to Full Blood members, but more on that later,

Nasty, that's just silly. It's just a forum, it can be controlled without nukes.

I think there is some merate in a more structured, format for Hireing and Fireing Members,
you may think it's a Forum man But it's one of the Biggest online Harp clubs on the net,
i think members need a right to reply befor they die shit even iv'e asked Bro's to state there case befor watching them get kicked out of clubs:)

There were a few days with huge amounts of spam; hundreds and hundreds of posts pouring down from the sky like rain.
Nasty- What you're talking about requires all sorts of programming. Pretty much as long as you don't spam you can post here. The problem is that one spammer can shut down activity on the whole forum. There where spammers posting 250+ messages, one to a thread, which pushed stuff so far off the front page you couldn't find anything.
The forum tools aren't subtle. There are three levels. Adam can boot people, let people join, and delete or edit whatever he wants. Mods can delete or edit posts. Everyone else can delete or edit their own posts. That's what the forum software does. Changing those basic rules requires all sorts of programming.

living the blues: experiences with the elders,
Bro check it out Ok i didn't think a said anything that a man could not Bare Hearing,
But Adam reminded me of the code i must Abide by this,I'm a Freak for regime
Ok Shanester went of the deep end acussing all in his comment,
when realy i think it was aimed at me,but his comment could have been aimed at all members i don't know,
i an instant like this with a structured council if the Press isn't in attendance,
one of the suprem beings can ask for explanation of his actions, tell him to remove his comment, abide by the Creed or be banished,
you can't argue with these members what they say goes just like the Press his word is final,
But Brothers i tell ya i got some of the most strick Man ethics on earth i need structure, you can't Build a Castle with out Structure:)

I'm not sure what Shanester had read in the comments above. Sometimes I open up windows to all the pages I'm going to read and then read and close each one. If he was doing the same thing he might have missed Adam's earlier post. I don't know. If he thinks he got a raw deal he can always send an email to Adam. I reread his post, and I'm not sure who it's aimed at, and that does make a difference in how you read it, but I'll fall back on a sports analogy-
In the glorious sport of baseball there is a time tested rule for arguing with umpires. It is OK to swear and curse, it is OK to argue, but if you swear and curse at the umpire you get ejected from the game. So, for instance, if you don't like a call you can say, f***, or you can say, 'He was safe!', but you can't say 'He was f***ing safe!' without getting sent to the showers.
Again though, I think it comes down partially to the forum tools. Fark, one of the other sites I regularly visit, has the ability to ban someone for a certain amount of time. Repeat offenders eventually get banned forever. Even their ISP address can get banned. But Fark also has full time programmers supported by ad revenue.

there does need to be some sort of control on this forum from what I have seen there has been a lot of disrespect toward others facebook has really gotten out of hand as there has been a prayer petition for the death of obama its ok not to like a president but a prayer for his death thats sick

Well for what it's worth and bearing in mind I know nothing about running forums.
I think Adam should go back to having only approved membership like he did a while ago. That way the spammers would be less likely to bother as much I would of thought.
Of course the downside of that is that Adam then has more work to do with approving people. Maybe he could share the "approving" with the moderators?

Of course the downside of that is that Adam then has more work to do with approving people,,Yes
Maybe he could share the "approving" with the moderators,,Yes but more than just Moderators Supreme Beings,
as seen to often Modertors cop some Heavy Flack for doing what they think may be right For the Club or Forum, and have become pissed off and jack the job,
we need Supreme members with authority to be listend to if they speak you will listen, no if buts or he said she said argument,it is ended now heed the creed or you will Bleed:)
