Sweet, I realy enjoyed it. I see you realy showing off your vibrato now :) The sound you get Will is amazing. . It just shows there is no need to play 500 notes/sec to blow peoples heads off. Are you using jaw vibrato on open notes as well?
Yeah (as you know!) I've been working on those vibratos. I use throat vibrato on everything except
- the 1 and 1.5 step 3 draw bend - the 4 draw bend - the 0.5 step 2 draw bend
for which I waggle my jaw. Getting pitch + frequency control and smooth oscillation for all the vibratos is a way away (particularly, although I think I an just about make one or two of 'em out on the horizon.
And...
500 notes / sec? Not my thing. Besides, there's this crazy Russian guy who has that covered here in the UK. Doing well and winning competitions in a high velocity, musical way, from what I hear...
Anyway...
Hope all's well in Bath and come back to London Harps sometime! You're always welcome (as would sessions on progressive, 3 octave, OB/OD playing and customisation. Hint hint.)
I've stumbled across your playing a few times here and there on the net Captain. Never less than impressed! Your tone is just lovely, and your restraint when playing in ensembles is exemplary (gushing now, must stop!)
If you ever find yourself gigging in the West-Country give me a shout! I don't get too many weekends free but I'd like to catch you live sometime.
Possibly a tad too far for a Janner like me, but if you ever find yourself in Somerset, Devon or Cornwall (or the Proper West Country, as I call it :) ) I'll try my damndest to make it.
@captain Gloucester, that's a bit near me, I'm just south of Hereford. Keep us posted on gigs in the area, I might be able to get over there. The guitarist I used to jam with at work lives in Gloucester. ---------- "Come on Brackett let's get changed"

The European Blues Association is based in Gloucester and are worth checking out. Jams on some Saturdays in, I think, Gloucester Library, and a magnificent archive, too.
