I have drawn attention to this free software in two other posts, but I think it deserves it's own post as the resource is very good.

There are two free programs you can download from the Seydel website, namely

SEYDEL-MelodyRecorder V 1.0

Freeware-program for tuning your harmonicas (cents displayed) and recording (your single note entered melodies and displaying the note you have played i.e. C, D,E,F etc., which you can then copy and paste to a word document or similar)

&

SEYDEL-TabTool V 1.0

Freeware-program for creating, transposing/converting and displaying harmonica-specific tabs for diatonic and chromatic harmonicas

You can also download the instruction manuals for both programs.

The webpage is in German but you can change it to English with the link at the the top of the page.

It's also worth checking out this guy's excellent site as he explains one of the program's available features.

Very cool. I'll download those later and try them out, but the page looks like it has a bug on it. Oh NO! It's crawling around on the page. What is that, a digital tick? What a weird graphic for a harmonica page.

Can't seem to find that weird graphic Nate, but don't worry, if I do I'll take it down with my cross-hair cursor.

Have you done a virus check lately? :)

I scroll down two clicks on my mouse wheel and there is a little tick size but running around on the screen. It's pretty funny actually.

I clicked it and it opens mail with a link to the page. It's a share button! (I'm using Chrome.)

edit- it only seems to be on the German version of the page.

@ Barry & Grey, Your're welcome guys.

Nate, I was going to recommend you add a little water in your shot glass, until I loaded the Seydel German page on my my Chrome Browser and blow me down there was the pesky little bug you were talking about. I have now just found it on my IE, Firefox and Opera browsers, think the little buggers might be breeding.

This is a quote from the manual for the tuner:
If you use a SEYDEL harmonica leave the
standard pitch at 443 Hz.

I "ASSUME" that means Seydel tumes to 443.

There's also a very good tuner available on the internet from AP Tuners. They have a version for both Windows and Mac and it's pretty decent. When doing Just major, they only have it in 7LJI, but what you can do to try and get 19LJI is do the usual thing for 7LJI, but avaoid doing the tuning for 5 & 9 draw, and then switch it to ET tuning for those two, and then tune those tune notes 1.5 cents sharp.

Here's a link for it in Windows:

Here's a link for it for Mac:
