Hi all,

Recently I purchased a Suzuki Bluesmaster Harp in the key of C. Predictably in came with a black plastic comb. Their website states that only the C harp has a black comb and all others a translucent red comb. This way you can easily identify your C harp on the fly. However, I just ordered a D and A harp and they both arrived with black combs.

Anyone know if Suzuki has changed their styling or any other reason why this would be. I was really looking forward to the red combs on the A and D.

Thanks

Explorz,
Interesting to know. I just ordered a Bluesmaster in Bb and also was looking forward to the red comb, which looked different and unique. I'll let you know the color when it arrives.

John,

Who did you order from? I ordered mine from "The Harmonica Store."

I'm wondering if Suzuki supplies "blems" to discount online stores.

If so, I'm not happy about it. I was expecting a red comb and would like to differentiate visually the harps in my bag.

The same thing happened to me. I am an A and D. I ordered my from coast to coast music. Mabe they don't make them in red anymore.

Explorz,
I got it from ebay from a seller named "bluzerd". He sells new Suzukis.

A couple months ago I bought D and Bb Blues Masters from Musicians Friend. The D has a black comb and the Bb is red.

Explorz,
The Bluesmaster arrived today and alas, it's comb is black, but WOW! I've never played a more airtight harp. Even though it's June, I know what's going to be on my Xmas list. A joy to play.

Just talked to Suzuki. They say they are no longer making the red comb harps and had simply not thought to change their website description of the Bluesmaster.
