My A and C mb's have developed reed rattle on the 1 draw. I wouldn't say I draw excessively and I played gently for 2 weeks and now they're 2 months old they're both playing up. Anyone got any tips or tricks. Cheers

I haven't tried this myself yet--but it might be worth a try to beezwax the very base of the reed--or else put a teeny little piece of micropore tape half way up the reed. This is actually a method I heard about on Rupert Oysler's DVD on harp repair--it's used to keep reeds from sqealing like a pig when you overblow them--might also work for a rattly harp.

I've been thinking about doing it to a low C MB I have that rattles a bit on the low reeds--but it sounds kind of cool on this particular harp. . .
