Is it normal to experience difficulty getting vibrato on bent notes? I don't know about anyone else but it's much more difficult for me to get nice consistent vibrato on bent draws than it is when playing straight draws.

Yeah, I definitely have the same problem--for a long time I just thought it wasn't possible--just used hand tremolo on the bent notes--but it's hard to keep thinking that way if you listen to a good player do it. I'm working on it--still shakey--but it's starting to work sometimes!

I just got that teqnique down pretty well somewhat recently. It takes a good amount of time to get it good, but the pay off is great, especially the 3 draw bend vibrato, which I notice in Paul Butterfield and Adam Gussow's playing.

Hey Guys: I tend to use more of a throat vibrato on bend notes, or often a lowering and raising of the jaw... Like saying ya ya ya over and over and that will get you a decent vibrato...I use a diaphram on the TB'ed octaves on single bent or un bent notes... It is harder to get use to but you can put any type of vibrato on any note just about...I've heard Chris Michalek play deep pitch vibrato at leat a 1/4 tone deep on regular blow notes holes 1-6!!!!
