I just saw Hancock- it starts out with the song "Whammer Jammer" which basically made my day (actually it made my evening). Just thought I'd let all the harpists know- unfortunately I happened to have my Bb harp in my pocket at that moment so I couldn't play along... If you got to that movie, bring your A harp :-)

We saw this movie on July 4th, my birthday. My wife got me two new harps for birthday presents: Delta Frosts A and C. My only complaint about the harps is that they rattle in the cases. I was telling my wife this as we walked into the theater, and she asked why I took them with me. I jokingly explained that the power could go out, and people would need entertainment. Besides, you never know when someone wants to hear "Whammer Jammer!" Imagine my surprise at the beginning of the movie! I almost pulled my harp out to play along, but didn't know how the other movie goers would take it.

Imagine a couple dozen harpers all sneaking out harps and playing along during the movie.

That would be a hoot!

That's a wild coincidence! Cool gifts, and a happy belated b-day, Philosofy. Are these your first Delta Frosts? How you you like them, and how do they compare to other brands you've played?

I've delayed answering this, because initially I wasn't happy. The 2,3, and 4 blow notes on my A harp wouldn't make a sound if I blew hard. I called Bushman, and told me I had to gap the harp. I tried that, but it didn't take. A second call and they told me I was bending the reed wrong: I needed to lift from the end, not the base of the reed. They play fine now, but honestly, unless the harp leeks or is gapped wrong, I don't notice much of a difference between the DF and LO or GM. It doesn't catch my beard, like a GM will, but outside of that, they are fine harps.

Sadly in my opinion Whammer Jammer was the highlight of that movie. But then again, there was Whammer Jammer! :p

My complaint is that it was an edited version of Whammer Jammer. I wanted to hear the whole song.
