I have 4 harps,
I have a dannecker blues in the key of C very heavy but has never gone out of tune or blown out in a over a year. I am still undecided about this one as it was really expensive.

I have recently purchased 3 meisterklasse ultra custom with intonated tuning in the keys of G,A and D. To be honest I was a bit dissapointed with the meisterklasse. Here the deal.I beleive that tony is great at tuning but does not do much reed work and when i received the Mklasse I was dissapointed with there playability.

If you play MB then get them from west weston I beleive his is the best in this country UK for MB's.

I would like to try Special 20's from Tony as thats what I prefer but he does not do any significant reed work just excellent tuning.

Hope this helps

Russ

Hey Russ
Thanx for the reply.
Have you played the stock Meisterklasse before.
And why did you chose the intonated style?

I have spoken to Antony a few times and he is very straight no BS and will all most certainly answer any question you may have about harps.

I had a go at the Meisterklasse because I wanted to try another brand and this is Antony's best seller. The reed plates are probably the best out there in terms of tone and durability, but its what you are happy with.

Here is the blurb from his web site. Glad to have helped.

Russ

The Meisterklasse/Cross Harp MS Combination Ultra Custom is built utilising the innovative concept of the modular system (MS) range.
Using the gold plated synthetic Cross MS comb, Meisterklasse reed plates and cover plates this unique harmonica has been embraced by blues players who wish to take advantage of the higher quality MS component parts.
Very loud and bright the tone is unique amongst the other harps in this range.
Definitely one of the more popular blues harmonicas.

Intonated Tuning - A442 hertz with certain reeds tuned slightly flatter to achieve pure and sweet sounding chords with no harsh sounding vibrato.
This is always the first choice of tuning for all professionals and the vast majority of blues players.

real quick a couple of weeks at the most.
Let me know what you think.
I still prefer special 20's
but the sydel 1847 silver is the best out there but are way too much.
check out west westons mb they are sealed and tunned with great reed work and you can get them repaired for a snip.

great custom harp for the UK guys.
