I can't believe it. A battery powered tube amp. What will they have next? An electric harmonica?

This looks like it would be a cool amp--but I just heard the demos on YT of some top players on Harpgear amps with no effects--wow! They really sound great! But something in the neighborhood of 12 hundred dollars is out of my range. . .
Yeah, Chris--I read somewhere that for an extra few thousand dollars you can get an electric Adam Gussow to teach you how to play the electric harp! Be sure to let us all know about it--it's something that has been a rumor for about 15 years that I know of. . .

Alright Chris.Cant wait to hear ya play it. Very interested in seeing the theory behind it. RE amp- dc power can be very smooth and true,if engineered right I think would sound great.

I don't know much about it. When I was speaking with the inventor over the phone he was talking about magnetic pickups and coils inside the harmonica. He also says this harmonica will NOT feedback.
Other big name players are going to be testing this unit too.

Yeah, they are UK based. They have a few photos there and prices--and the claims that you just plug & play--but no sound clips at all--I want to hear something before I shell out 250 bucks for a wierd looking harp...
Man! You guys in the UK have to pay a lot for harps!

So would that be a battery powered harmonica...? Let me reel you lot back in again.....
What do you guys think of the amp? Would it sound like a mains powered one? It looks a cool little amp, if a little pricey. Has anyone any experience of using one of these or any other battery powered amp?

The only amp I have these days is a Pignose Hog 30. It is, of course battery powered--but it doesn't really rock the way Adam would want it--but I like it a lot. If this amp is all tubes and the speaker magnets are small, it could rock just fine--in other words, just because it is battery powered does not mean it won't rock--it just depends on the amps components.
I am speaking here as an electrician with 35 years of experience--not as a blues amp expert. . .
