Well......... I think we were all waiting for it to happen sometime. The thing is, I think I kinda like it.

Thanks for hipping us to the YT video--and early: only 147 hits. I suggest that everybody on this forum take a listen.
You'd be surprised by how many blues/hip-hop songs are out there.
For example: Guy Davis and his son had an NPR hit with "Uncle Tom is Dead" a couple of years back. Very witty father/son dialogue, in which the son plays the sulky, resentful hip-hop bad boy and the father counters as the gruff old blues-head who has seen all this rough stuff before and battles his son to a standstill--rapping and bluesing it up.
Also, Nas and Olu Dara: "The Bridge."
Arrested Development sampled Junior Wells's harp in one cut on "Everyday People."

I just checked this out to see how much i would hate it,and for the first 40 seconds or so i did hate it but that harp lick was wailin and primal and the hip hop back beat kinda got under my skin and gave me a rush of blood to the soul! and i found myself playing it through again and reaching for my harps,Ooh Mama i likes it!
