Does anyone know of any good sources of info, video or otherwise, regarding harp modification. I am mainly referring to mods such as opening up/venting the faceplate and rounding the end of the harp. I don't like the pointy ends on my marine band or my blues harp. Now that I have some golden melodies I'd like to start messing with my older harps.
I saw a good video by elkriverharmonicas on filing down the reed plates when they stick out past the comb. But I haven't seen anything as far as opening up the faceplate or rounding the ends of the harp. I'd also like to put screws in my marine band, but I would guess this only involves a drill and maybe a clamp.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ruppert Oysler has a 2-DVD set that goes into everything you need to know about modifying your harps. He goes into detail on tuning, gapping, embossing, tip scooping and of course converting Marine Bands & Golden Melodies from nails to screws.
You can get the DVD's from elkriverharmonicas.com
He is also one heck of a harmonica player.

Here are a few links I have collected that cover various things, from sealing your harps to gapping, embossing etc., to replacing the nails in your MB with screws.
