Hi All,
I've been playing, or trying to play harp in the Church band and we will actually be playing during next Sundays service.
Though I found the tabs for some of the common songs I have the sheet music for guitar for the rest that we will be playing. I remember seeing somethign somewhere a program or cheat sheet on how to convert guitar tab to harp but can't find it.
Any help is appreciated either a link or a how to would be very helpfull.

i dont know of any program. but i do know of a resource on another forum that has discussed your dilemma.
go to the delta frost forum. all things harmonica section. search nashville numbers. there is a related thread that tells you how to convert sheet music into the nashville numbering system. it is really pretty basic.
for more in-depth help, start a thread and wait for 1/2fast or frog to assist you. (tell him i sent you.)

I found the thread and it was very informative and I need to read and reread it to fully understand it. I need to bet a better handle on reading sheet music, I now the basics but have a lot to learn.
I did find something even easier, I think, I will try it out when I get home. I found Harmonica Tab rulers used to map out the notes on the sheet music scale to draw or blow notes on the harmonica.

I also play harp with the Church band.
I'm always bugging the guitar player for the Key their in.
I've been working on memorizing the notes that are associated with each key.
It would be great to have a tool/rule of thumb/trick of to glance at a Tab sheet and know which harp to play in 2nd position.

Google 'Harpin Midi'. If you can find a midi file of the song that you want tabbed then this free download will tab it out for you.
