Does any body know if Adam sells the Front porch blues (lesson 24) tab ?
I've looked in the store section, but could not find it...
Thanks !

There is a tab, done by somebody else, in the store--it might even be free--I don't remember. It is really a great piece--one of the cornerstones of my playing at this point. . .it might be called "The Back Porch Blues" I know I have it, and I got it somewhere. . .

If you REALLY love that harp, you should try to figure out what he is doing on your own...I'm not saying this to be nasty, but the rewards will be greater when you do.
If you just play the tabs note for note, you maybe can PLAY the song, but you didn't LEARN anything...
Even making mistakes while figuring out this tune is rewarding, you will stumble on things that sound different from what Adam is doing, but still usable, and that's your OWN stuff...
I did the same thing and it worked for me...still if I go back to the vid, I notice differences, but that ok, I like the way I sound doing this song AND as a BONUS I learned a lot of new new things while figuring it out...

Lovethatharp,

Dutchbones is correct in everything he says. However heres the link anyway, and I will talk about my experience with this one.

I learnt this song off the tab a long time ago, at the time I would have struggled to work it out. The tab is a fast track to learning some authentic blues that gave me a big motivational shot. Its a stand alone song that people really dig if they are into the blues, finally you can play something that demonstrates why you are putting in all the time in the woodshed. I expect you will learn a lot from this, even if using the tab. ( depending on your level ). As I said, Dutchbones is exactly right, but maybe take a short cut on this one and work some other shit out by yourself.

Dutchbones is right.

The thing about tabs is that they ARE helpful to just sorta get an idea about how the song is like... but ultimately if you depend on them too much you really ROB yourself of a wonderful and exhilarating experience.

At first, trying to figure out any song without a tab might seem too slow and frustrating... but I promise you that if you keep trying without depending too much on tabs... you'll be able to figure it out on your own. At first it seems slow, once your brain has had enough "exercise", it'll start to have the "snowball" effect. Like, once you get things rolling a little bit, it'll build up into something bigger and faster.

I've personally made it a point to never go near a tab unless absolutely necessary. It's a great learning tool at first but eventually it can also destroy your learning experience.

Whatever it is, ALWAYS HAVE FUN and don't give up!
