I've finally got my Astatic 10C from 1963. I've checked it in a local music store and it sounds great so I'm starting my quest for an amp. But before I'll get it i would like to try my mic few more times. Is it possible to plug it to my laptop computer without burning it or a mic?

Yes, I've got the adapter, but I was afraid I would burn either a comuputer or a mic. But thanks for an answer, I'll try it when I gain the proper level of courage :).

I suspect as long as you start with 0% volume and increase it slowly untill you get just enough sound without clipping, everything should be fine.

Though an impedance converter or microphone preamp device of some kind would be highly advisable to use in any case.

Without those, you're still going to have an impedance mismatch. In layman terms, the mic will not sound like the way it should without those additional tools.
