Oh my gosh!!!!!!!! Thanks for the link, harmonicanick
That vid rocks. It is blues/rock and he and the guitarist tear it up. I bet Gussow is proud as hell of him.
I just watched it for the fourth time in a row. ---------- Down the road I got to go

That was absolutely awesome!! Thanks for the heads up on that one.
At the end, when the harp took it up to the guitar, the hairs on the back of the neck went up. Back to the woodshed, I want to do that one day.

Forgive me for acting like a little villager but please understand that my only exposure to this kind of harp playing is really via the internet. I live in a 3rd world country after all. :)
Basically, I went NUTS when I saw the whole video. Especially towards the end I literally jumped of my seat exclaiming expletives while being in total amazement. What a GOOD SHOW!
My wife had to grab me and remind me our daughter was already asleep and it was 2am... hahaha...
Is it just me or do you guys think Jason still has many surprises up his sleeve? I don't understand all this $@#%-talk about him "burning out" and all that from certain other forums... I think he's getting even more precise/calculated with his playing and improving on his inflections... And it's scary considering the fact that he's already REALLY good already. I truly admire that.
Inspiring to say the least. I am truly WOW'ed.
I know I may sound like I give compliments and call everything "awesome" real easily but I really mean those things when I say them. When something is done in good taste, doesn't take much technique to impress me. But when it's a combination of really good taste and technique... I practically soil myself. And this time, I gotta say, I've been "wow'ed".
It's certainly got me super-charged. Been in the woodshed all day today and taking a well deserved break right now. :)
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS!!!

Good on you Zhin!
It is very difficult for an advanced/expert player to find playing partners who will 'release the dragon' that is inside a harp player of a certain ability. Jason clearly found that release with Walter Trout that night. I myself have only on very few occasions released my own beast so to speak, it requires that very rare set of conditions:
Musicians of same great improv. ability no ego problems generosity of spirit
I have been in bands as harp player for many years and there always has to be a compromise; but sometimes it just comes together as it did for Jason that night, as his bodly language showed!!
A lot of great harp players find solace in duo's like Adam and Steve Baker, which cuts the compromise factor..
But, hey, no one said it'd be easy!!! Just keep practising your single note flow, so that when your moment comes, as it surely will, you will release your hidden dragon and it will fly!!!!!!!!!!!
