Well, the first song I wrote for my wife was titled "Mamma Cow." That was about 35 years ago--I think she's still planning to hang around long enough to get even.

Good song, Geordie--keep up the good work!

Geordie, very good effort, especially with the vocals, i'm really impressed. It is my view that the vocals are the really hard part for most of us, but you have the voice. You obviously have a really solid grounding with the harp too.

Its one of the things I love about the blues, you can take it from Chicago or Mississippi quite easily to the North East of England and it sounds authentic.

You obviously have quite a strong Geordie accent but it can only be heard very slightly at the end of the chorus when you sing the word 'out' even then you have to listen hard to hear it. It fascinates me how accents are not always clear when singing, do you deliberately try to hide it or does it just happen.

I know that may sound weird but I'm English and live in Germany. Some singers here seem to hide their German accent easily but others struggle.

That's pretty cool geordiebluesman. As a harper living in California, I'm becoming more and more impressed by the number of posts comming from "over the pond". The harp seems to be real popular over there. Love to visit there if I had the funds....

Hi Harpers,Thanks for the great feedback especially the comments about the vocals,it's a bit embarrasing to sing even onto video when you have never done it before, but doing it on you tube and then showing it to your mates is actually a good way to ease your way into actually doing it for real. Strong Geordie accent you say!,How very dare you!I'll have you know round these parts i'm refered to as that posh bloke wot speaks funny,People say i once read a book and that i only have burger for tea once a week, they even claim i prefer poetry to football and don't understand the offside rule! I have no need to play down my accent cos round here i sound like Prince Charles by comparison,Anyway thanks again i'm off now to have my ellocution lesson and to buy some Larks tongue in aspic for tonights tea
