One of you wrote to me and suggested that I create a separate area of the forum in which people could post "for sale" announcements. Since my webhost won't, unfortunately, let me create separate boards within this forum, I've improvised a solution: three dedicated threads, in which forum folk may post such offerings.
I do NOT want these threads to become a place where commercial harp distributors and the like try to drum up business. We all know about Harp Depot, Best Little Harp House, Coast2Coast, etc. Instead, I'm happy to create a space within which beginning, middling, and pro harp players can buy, sell, barter, and trade relevant info in that direction.
Richard Sleigh, Chris M., Jason R., Joe F., other harp customizers: you are all more than welcome to let folks know what you've got and give us links to your websites, eBay auctions, etc.
Ditto to Brian Purdy, Ron Sunshine, and all you amp and mic guys. I love what you do. If you've got new products or specials, drop by every now and then to let us know about it.
Of course I'm friends with Jon Gindick, David Barrett, and my fellow harmonica-instructional gurus. Please google 'em and check 'em out. They should feel free to post when they've got something new (book or CD) for sale.
If you think we need any more threads of this sort, please let me know. Bassharpers unbelievably good and detailed list of harp-player gigs already exists, so we do NOT need a new place to post that sort of thing.
I think y'all get the point. This is an experiment. Maybe it'll work out well. Maybe it won't. If it doesn't, I'll pull the plug, which is to say, I'll delete the threads. Let's not be evil, anybody. Have fun.

Great idea Adam, Although you might not be able to create separate boards, you might perhaps be able to get those 3 topics fixed at the top, so they won't disappear to another page after one or two days. I imagine that there will be more readers then posters, so that chance will be quite big. I also assume that newcomers will not scan all previous pages so they will perhaps miss out on some interesting info, not knowing a "For Sale" section exits.
Just a thought.....
