Thank you guys for the kind words. I really appreciate this coming from fellow players as you are the only people whose opinion matters to me. When I first started going to this jam I was the only harp player there and I ended up trying to play like a guitarist...all over the place. But I kept reading on this forum that less is more and I think this is what it's all about. Play a little reasonably well rather than a lot badly.
Geordie...I was playing a Special 20 through another guys rig, a re-issue Bassman with a JT30. However I usually use a green bullet and a little Hacker amp that was originally used as an extension speaker for a record player. The guys at the jam call it the Budgie Cage! I actually think it sounds better than this rig. However on the night, the first person there who sets up their rig then lets everyone use it and guess what...I got there late. Next time I go I'll try and get there first and you'll hopefully hear what I mean. Thanks for the feedback Geordie, I have listened to some of your stuff on Youtube and it sounds great. I especially like the last one you did where you sang about a mean hearted woman. It takes a set of balls to sing as well and I just haven't grown a set that big yet!
Thanks again guys

Nice job, Oisen--I really like the tone you got from this rig--it would be interesting to hear the rig you usually use.
The warbles were really good. . .

Great playing Oisin, not stamping all over the place like some people do, very tasteful. Hope to hear more from you (and your warbles)
