Hi, ive just watched Ronnie's new harmonica tip video on you tube (heres the link)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgZ-YMUFRBQ

he plays a boogie riff at 1:07 and it is killing me trying to work out the first couple of bars. I know its a 12 bar progression, starts on the 2d but im not sure if theres toungue blocking in it. I play the opening bars 2d 3d 4d 5b but it sounds like hes playing it slightly different. If anyone could have a listen to it and tell me what he is doing i would be very grateful. I can play the rest of it but stuck on the opening of it.

Many thanx,Ant.

Ant,

I dont know if Ronnie is playing it all TB.
But playing it TB my guess is its:

2d, TS, 3d, TS, 41d (octave) , TS 5b.

TS - Tongue slap to get the back note, which in this case is not really a chord but a clean note.

Yeah man,

I really liked that riff too, I saw the video. I didnt bother figurin it out, it was played so fast.

So thanks Jamie! And gues what I just found out; if you play, 4B, 5B, 6B, 6D for the IV chord, you got 3/4 of the circle!

The reason i did not ask Ronnie directly was because it was not a tutorial video it was just a video to gauge what level you might be at with the harp. Im sure Ronnie is a busy guy,and i should be able to figure things out myself from time to time.

People like Adam and Ronnie dedicate enough time to us and give us enough free lessons and tutorials to be getting along with without pestering them for more. There's nothing better than figuring out a riff from a c.d. or from a video without any help accept from all of you guys on here. Its fun to post a message asking for some help, and get a friendly and super quick response. I usually only ask when ive really hit a wall with my playing. Thanks again Jamie you really helped me figue the thing out.
