Well, i took one of my harps and tried to emboss the reeds with a socket. i found it in a video somewhere, and i pushed the metal from the reedplate down so that the rectangle the reed goes through is catching the reed with burrs. i must file down the rectangle to fix the burrs.
i need to know if anyone has any idea how to pull out the reeds so i can easily file the rectangle down. it may not be possible but if anyone knows, just shout it out. thanks. ---Be Positive---

Miles--the recommended method for this--from the Elkriver guy and Rupert's video--is not to file--but to scrape away the burrs--I find that a thin feeler gauge blade works pretty well--no need to take out the reed--just get the blade in there and move it back and forth.
Dave, the Elkriver guy has an instructional vid up on YT on this subject--look at it before you proceed--I have been successful with his method, so you can probably make it work. . .

A shim is best for burrs, but If you've overdone the embossing, filing might be an easier remedy. You can swing the reed out of the way if you've got a reed wrench, or some needle nose pliers
