Am I the only person who didn't realize that the live version of "Whammer Jammer" was part of the soundtrack to the recent Will Smith movie, HANCOCK? In case you missed it, here's a like to the YouTube video:

Here's another clip that starts slightly earlier, with the earlier part of the song:

Adam, I noticed right off the bat, but the most amazing thing is my Girlfriend grabbed my arm about the fourth note and said, "that's that song you play all the time!". She was soooo excited and it tickled the Hell out of me. LOL. It was great. She fully supports my hobby, passion, MADNESS. She even asks if I have been practicing. Nothing like my Ex-wives. If I was gonna' be a Superhero.......

Thats pretty funny stuff........ How did you not realize? I mean...Whammer Jammer" ......whammer Jammer... At least the song will have more exposure. Hell we'll probably soon hear of new harpers who start playing because of that movie.... That will be cool...... and they'll come to you. ---Be Positive---

Well, Adam--maybe if you read the posts in YOUR forum from time to time, you would have known all about this about a few months ago--
"I just saw Hancock- it starts out with the song "Whammer Jammer" which basically made my day (actually it made my evening). Just thought I'd let all the harpists know- unfortunately I happened to have my Bb harp in my pocket at that moment so I couldn't play along... If you got to that movie, bring your A harp :-)"

You're right! Thanks for answering the self-deprecating question with which I began the thread!

Yeah, they cut out parts of it. I complained already in the other thread.

Funny, I seen this movie for the first time Friday I picked up on it. Maybe it's just the 'blue car syndrome' but I thought it was really cool to hear whammer jammer in this unlikely place.

I loved the fact Whammer Jammer was in the opening.
At the end of the movie me and my wife were cuddling during the credits... then out of nowhere I heard some really expressive sweet acoustic harp playing which made me perk back up from the seat and upsetting the missus. She got over it quickly though. :p
I'm not sure who it is on that harp though! Anyone know?
