Scenario: regular blues Jam Session on Thursday night (yesterday)
Story: I am called up to play and notice a guy shining a torch arond the floor near the musicians. The girl looks up at the band and hyserically cry's 'I've lost my diamond engagement ring'!!!!
Well we are into Stormy Monday or something and they are scabbling around at our feet. This goes on for a bit...

I am just into a bit of a solo and I look down and there it is just under my boot!
I give it to them and I get kissed and hugged, they were both pissed...
Did I get a drink.....oh noooooooo they just left...
Happy christmas

Well Frodo, You may have saved a relationship. We harp players bring people together in some of the strangest ways! They should have you play at the wedding!

Don't feel insulted or snubbed. They were frantic and heartbroken about the loss. Then relief/elation came. With all these emotions and adrenalin going through them, it did not enter their minds to be more gracious.

Under an emotional ordeal, my parents once neglected to give thanks to somebody that greatly deserved it. They realized this later and hunted down that person (in another city) to give their thanks in person.
