I just got a Seydel 1847 for Christmas I have to say I can't find ANYTHING displeasing about this harp. It's the best sounding, most responsive, most airtight, and most beautiful harp I've ever played. I'm officially converted from Marine Bands. The only problem is the price. But I'll just have to bite the bullet and pay up because these harps are unbelievable. And I'm positive it'll be a thousand times more durable than Marine Bands, so in the long run, it may not cost anymore. Because coughing up 30 bucks every time a Marine Band dies(which is often) will just about break a man.

ME TOO, OPENED IT LAST NIGHT. IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH AIR TO RESONATE DOES IT? THE REED PLATES PROTRUDE TO THE EDGE OF THE COMBS AND THAT'S DIFFERENT FROM THE LEE OSKARS I NORMALLY PLAY BUT I LOVE THE 1847 TOO.

Is this the Stacey that caught two Jason Ricci shows this month in Indiana?
