turn on the TV. Turn off the volume. Make your own sound track.

Why? It will force you to change the emotional content of your playing from moment to moment. It will also help you with improve by connecting your thoughts to your instrument.

OK, Chris--I did that. Now--who's gonna pay the medical expenses to remove this perfectly good Marine Band from my a**? LOL!!

My wife is a nice lady--but you don't wanna interrupt her TV time. . .

That's not a good place to put a harmonica, wailer..... you can do only blownotes there.... what a waste.... next time ask her to stuff it up your nose.... (that's if.... there is a next time)

You may be able 2 get a good trumpet sound on them blow notes that way though

Sort of a 2 o'clock in the morning after a big fat one exercise. What about taking a harp to bed with ya and makin' your own porno soundtrack...put those overblows to good use.

Oddly enough I provided harp to a silenced Red Sox game, granted there was scotch involved, but all my freinds got a boot out of it.
I think Chris's idea is a great one
