Harpy new Year..
just got back from a week in paris (visiting the in-laws) and found an excellent harmonica & sax etc shop selling full ranges of Hohner (all types) Suzuki,Herring,LO, Personalised MB's by JJ Milteau who goes there (I am not worthy!!) It is in Pigalle (18th Arondissement) - face the Folie Begeres (the original strip joint) and go right and its off the next junction. Very expensive for me due to the British £ against the Euro, but I still got me a Bluesmaster in G and then walked up the Eiffel Tower (690 steps..) and played it on the 2nd floor overlooking a sparkling, very cold City of Light to some startled Japanese tourists.

Yeah, I remember that shop from I time I stayed in a hotel round there about 12 years ago. If I recall there were a number of music shops down that street, but the one with the saxes had a wonderful selection of harmonica related stuff. The street we stayed on was called Rue Victor Masse.
I proposed to my wife on the steps of Montmartre that weekend, so we didn't really have much time for wandering around music shops. I've always wanted to go back and have a proper look round.

Hello, I think you are talking about "Major Pigalle" ? It's a reference shop for harmonica in Paris. If you down the street (rue Duperré) you will be on the "rue de Douai", and in this street or around you will find something like 30 different musical shop (guitar, bass, drums, mic, specific amp shop ...). It's a good place to be ;) ----------
