Hey Steve that's a nice sound you got coming out of that Pignose. That's the first time I've actually seen one on film and although it's a lot smaller than I imagined, you got a great big sound out of it. I'm very impressed.

Thanks for the kudos fellas ! My grandmother got me started on the harmonica when I was around 6 years old.She was born in 1892 and I lived on a tobacco and cotton farm with her .She only played in front of my father and me,no one else. She and I would sit on the front porch and mimic the train whistle sounds about a mile away in Kennebec at the lumber mill.
I have at times in my life put the harmonica down for six months or longer when I would be struggling to make it or having problems in my life. But for the last 35 years or so I play at least 5 to 6 six days a week.I taught harmonica for 5 years back in the 1990s and went thru over a thousand students in six week courses.I transcribed my own original music in Beginning and Intermediate courses and that made me a much better harmonica player and I got to make many new friends.
Both Carey Bell and Junior Wells told me to not worry about sounding like them or Little Walter or anyone but YOURSELF.Even if you are able to play in the same vein as your heroes you will still be only second best.Sound like YOU is what they taught me whenever I would meet them.
Everytime I get a little cocky and think I am really getting good,I will see or hear someone that will make me tuck my tail between my legs and head to the wood shed. But I LOVE playing that little instrument! God bless! Steve Harvell
