I want to purchase a digital voice recorder to record myself playing while sitting in with different muscians. Has anyone done this before and what type of DVC should I be looking for? This would be just for personal use-- Thanks-- 99

The Olympus WS-311M that I have works nice for that sort of thing--it's small enough to fit in your harp case and with earphones, you can get the gist of the music. Don't expect great playback fidelity--it ain't a Bose--but it is my musical notebook anywhere I go.

I think I bought this because Adam recommended them on one of the lessons on YT--as he said--it's been the best 80 or so dollars I've spent. . .

99: I have the IAudio mp3 digital recorder from Cowan. has an external mic for acoustic but also has line in. Allows me to record out of PA System. It works as my Band in the Box as background music. Can also record lessons and e-mail easily. You can watch a dvd on the tiny screen, but to small for my old eyes. Also has fm radio and photo gallery! Comes with ear buds, I puchased extra head phones. Does all I need with great quality in tiny package.
