I know this is a BLUES forum, but it doesn't hurt to listen to other genres.

I've just got hold of a great reggae album - "Dreadlocks Dread" by Big Youth and there's harp all over it. Good playing, nothing over ambitious: simple 2nd position stuff. It's great though, solid grooves and typical dub production. I particularly like "Dread Organ" and "Some Like it Dread". Very accessible and a great introduction to reggae if you're not a fan.

I also found a Bob Marley track with some harp on: "Talkin' Blues" on the Natty Dread album.

There's some basic chugging on Toot's and the Maytal's "Reggae Got Soul" too.

Anyone know of anymore?

Yes mon
Check out Bunny Wailer,Augustus Pablo and Dennis Brown.
Augustus Pablo is reggae's melodica masta. He plays a little harp but you can follow his melodica lines like Adam does with horn players. He makes alot of DUB songs which are basically instrumental jam tracks.Easy chord changes and lost of space.
Also if you google reggae harmonica and look for jamacian archives theres a free down load of harmonica songs.
Hope that helps.

Hey Gray,
Can you post the link? I can't find it for some reason. I looked several ways, but I still couldn't get it.
Thanks,

I was at an open mic night, and the guitarist was incredible. He played right handed, except when he played Hendrix, he would play left handed. I guess he's a big star in Europe doing a Hendrix tribute.

I was onstage with him, his bass player, a drummer, and another guitarist. At the end of the song, they said goodbye to the drummer and guitarist, and when I went to get off the stage they stopped me. They told me what key, and started playing. I started putting in some fills, and keeping up with this slow song. I knew the song from somewhere, but couldn't place it. I picked up the melody, and all of a sudden it dawned on me: we were playing Bob Marely's "Waiting in Vain", and I was a rythmically challenged white boy! When we finished, the place went nuts, and all the regular musicians said I nailed it! I was pretty happy after that.
