Hello, I've watched Adam's lesson 008 and was trying to play that riff, could you check out the recording I've made and tell me if it's correct? What should I improve to play it better?
Here's the recording on a G harp: http://odsiebie.com/pokaz/1371674---b4aa.html

Better articulation ("ta ta ta"). Otherwise really nice. Especially the two hole draw sounds really good - old timey style.

Sounds good to me ;)
It's a really nice rhythm I might add. Not as easy as it seems to get it with all the subtleties and lots of little parameters you can play with in order to change the sound.
If you always practice it on a low harp try it on a high one. I just love how it sounds on a high F!

Thanks, I have some problems with articulation when I play it fast but I hope I'll develop it over time. I was trying to play it in many keys, including A, C, Db, D and E but I haven't recorded it yet.

Ok, I've been working on it for last two weeks, and here is how do I play it now. Could you tell me if I'm developing it alright?

That sounds much better. Very fast and clean. I play the two hole blow at the end a little bit different http://youtube.com/watch?v=0im2KzeT9Eo. I don't know which is "right" though.

Keep in mind that double tonguing it is way easier if you're not doing it already. I find it easies to think of them as the following:
Single tongue: "ta" Double tongue: "ti-ka" Triple tongue: "ti-ka-da"

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! GermanHarpist, your version of the last two blow is pretty good, it makes this piece more rich and differential, good job. Double tonguing has helped me to play it fast with more precision, I think it is very important to use it on that riff. Cheers
