The revolution can be televized. Great idea.Who are the makers Jason? My first thought was that it would help sites like Adams for the people to get to know each other better. Some times its hard (for me) to make coments and such back to other people when I know nothing of them.Especially non pro peoples of which there is not much info about them out there in the internet world. THumb's up.Harpers unite to blow hard and tight.
Ive created a profile, my name is Anthony Williams from the u.k. I'll be adding more pics and things soon, hit me up with a friends request!!This site rocks.
I'd like to see what it's all about but I feel I would be betraying Adam. I've learnt so much due to Adam's efforts that I feel a loyalty to both him and this forum. Am I being soft and stupid?
Tooka, How is it being unfaithful to Adam? I'll still be using the lessons and buying new ones--it'll probably take me years to learn all of the stuff Adam has produced--and I will still be using this forum--I'll just add the HS forum to my daily rounds--Did anybody mention that HS REALLY ROCKS? But this site ROCKS too! I think there is room for both in my life--I just don't know if I'll ever have time to play harp again. . . ---------- Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. --Red Auerbach
I bet you'll see Adam on as a guest one of these Tuesday nights. They will also have plenty of other heavy hitters on then. Also, sitting around chatting with Jason Ricci and all of the other amazing people you hear about and see posts from on this board or on youtube. It provides immediate gratification for your burning (or just plain curious) questions.
There is no way you can take away from anything Adam has done. In fact, I believe it is through his actions here that others see how this is possible. I don't know of any of the crazy obsessive harmonica playing types who would not like to have one more place for good info AND something that is completely new. I was posting here while watching the chat too. I even watched one of Adam's videos during a slow spot. This just gives another much more interactive form of education.
It is wonderful and I wasted a great deal of yesterday eating it up.

Mr Gussow is probably creating is profile as we speak. Seriously give your support to Harmonicaspace its another cool place for us all to hang out. Im still using Modernbluesharmonica just as much as i did before.
Hey I'm still here! I love Adam too! Have since I saw him play when i was 21 years old in 1995...Thanks to everyone for their interest. The sites are totally differant except for the message board and each Message board has it's own personality. If anything I've gotten to know some folks from here a little better on H.S. through their profiles, music, pictures and live chat! Adam does have a profile and will definitly be a guest on the chat if he agrees. Thanks to everyone here we can not only have both but LOVE both and seriously promote this site here through harmonica space as it is already growing HUGE! Thanks again...The only catch is it's addictive. J
I remember that gig, Jason. It was at a club called Muddy Waters, in Portland, Maine, if I'm not wrong. We were co-billing with James Montgomery. We kicked a--ss. I remember that gig.
I think HarmonicaSpace is a great idea. I started this board because enough people emailed me and told me I had to that I....well, I just had to. Now it's mushroomed out of control. Maybe mass defections to HarmonicaSpace will bring it back under control. I actually like the fact that there's just one board here, rather than sub-categorized boards. It's a lot like Letsrun.com, which is where I hang out sometimes (as kudzurunner, I might add).
Ideally, this whole early 21st century period will be seen, several decades down the line, as a renaissance moment for the blues harmonica. Rick Estrin just sent me his new DVD, and it's fantastic. All the secrets, subtleties, and tricks of the blues harp. I think it's just great that he's sharing his knowledge--and that you're sharing your knowledge. The internet has made all this possible in a way that it simply wasn't possible when you and I were coming up.
So fire away, guys. Don't feel guilty for deserting the old man. Hell, maybe if everybody leaves me I'll actually have some time to practice, rather than getting involved with ridiculous board-flames with harp_fan......
I registered, but never got the email confirming me. Also, Jason, please get rid of the music when your sites load. It means I can't check them out at work!
I tried registering again, but it says the email is already registered. When I try to reset the password, it doesn't work. Is anyone else having problems?
@Philosofy If you are registering at work, your company spam filter might be putting the emails into your spam folder (or worse, blocking them). The emails come from admin@harmonicaspace.com.
Hi Phil, thanks for trying, Steve is probably right, defintly make sure the emails are coming to and address where you don't have to or can check the junk folder almost any dotcom and a sensitive spam filter will create that problem. We have over 340 members most in the last two days so it is working ok. Adam thanks for the kind words and I don't mind saying in public you guys destroyed james montgomery that night. It wasn't a competition but it ended with a funeral.
