Hi, I'm new to this forum and have been playing for about a year now. I've got a question/concept that I'd love some feedback on:

After working on Adam's Stompin' lesson, I've been working on mixing my single notes with chords. I thought that "I Can See Clearly" would be a great song to try this with. I'd like to be able to play the melody in between the chords. Does anybody have a clue as to what I might play for the rhythmic chords in between the versese (sort of mirroring the organ chords that the recorded song has). If I could nail this down I think it would be a pretty cool song to play 'stand alone' without any other accompaniment.

Thanks to anyone with any ideas (i.e. what are the chords to play, what the articulation might be, etc.) I'm going to plug on, learn the melody and try to fit in my own thoughts as I progress.

Preston,

Thanks, I'll take a look at this. My first quick looks shows that it has the chords for the melody. I'm looking for the chords that play between the melody (does that make sense??). It's also the 'intro' of the song. In any case, this may be enough for me to figure that out.
