Hi,im wondering if anyone out there has tried a Hering harmonica?. Ive noticed the Hering 1923 crop up from time to time and i like the look of it,wooden comb, vintage look and only £16.99 My main choice of harp at the moment is the Hohner Blues harp, ive tried Lee oskars,Marine bands,Big rivers, even the Marine band deluxe, but the quality of the Blues harp just seems to be more consistant and i like the tone. I cant afford a Seydel at the moment so im wondering what you guys think of Hering?

So many harps,such little time.

I love the 1923's
I tend to buy sets of harps and keep them together in small cases so the feel is consistant song to song.
i also keep a backup set of say, Marine Bands in another small case along with my ever present whiskey flask in a small carry bag

I have what I think is a Free Blues I got from Johnny Mars. Not a bad harp for the money.

I've got two 1923's (G and E). I think they are made better than Hohner Marine Band Deluxe (better sealing, 1,2 mm reedplates, thick, glossy lacquer etc.). They have a different, darker tone than MBDx. Well, 1923's are little harder to play (but overblows sound better) and have slower response, but I think that they are definitely worth their price.
