The above link is through tradebit and you can preview the songs.

I have not heard much about him but I am addicted to this guys playing.
I did a forum search for his name and Adam had mentioned seeing him.
One of his CD’s: “Look inside my pocket” has lots of Chromatic (I think) playing that I do not like. It may grow on me though.

The thing I like so much is at times a hard rock guitar with acoustic harp playing.

His CD’s have a mix of old blues standards and some original playing. His playing seems so tasteful to me and never hurried.

He is a young man of about 27 years.

I have been playing for about a year and a half and wish I had heard Walkin Blues (420 Sessions CD) to help me hear the changes on the 12 Bar blues.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Here are my questions:

1.What kind of Microphone is he using when he is not playing acoustically?
2.What kind of harp is used on Down at the Juke Joint? (last song listed on link above)

According to this picture
he's using an Astatic JT30 microphone

As for harps on particular tracks, I couldn't tell you for sure, but from other promo pics it looks like he mainly plays Marine Bands, with a few Lee Oskars and Suzukis thrown in.

Yeah, I'm friends with Mikey, Jr. I sat in with him on a gig in New Jersey about four years ago. He was a big fan of Satan and Adam. He was good then, but he keeps getting better--which for a harp player is mainly about working clubs, night after night, and writing songs. At this point, his star is clearly rising. I don't think he's quite made it as a national touring artist, but he's not far away from that. He may be making that leap right now, in fact. I saw him in Clarksdale (Mississippi) this past spring. He's got great energy and presence. A soulful player and a showman. If he's 27 now--and I think that's about right--then I'll be entirely unsurprised to see him, in a decade, with just as much popularity as Rod Piazza had at the same age.

Somebody to keep an eye on, definitely.

Hey thanks for the replies. I did not ask the question clearly.

Is he using a chromatic on Down at the Juke Joint?
I love his sound.

I don't believe so. I feel that it is a diatonic.
