Cool - I was considerin buyin one of those a while ago - chiefly because of the favourable price. But as it was my first mic i decided to start off where i knew and bought a Green Bullet. that was back when dollars were cheaper and it was actually a better price to send it from the US to Ireland than to buy it here.

Steve,
Enjoyed your video. I just tried a my Shaker dynamic I received yesterday and am loving it. Mine came from Harrison,Arkansas; is that where they are made? I will probably favor this over my Blues Blaster.

Steve,

I also enjoyed the video and would love to get one of these mics. Since this will actually be my first harp mic, I'm trying to research the various brands. Anyway, I'm looking for great sound, solid build quality, and great value...Shaker seems to provide all of these features.

BTW, I also have an old Pignose amp...I never knew they could sound so awesome with a harp!

Please post more videos of the Shaker mics!

Thanks!

So glad you all liked the video,I am very new at making them.I taught Beginning and Intermediate Blues Harmonica for 5 years back in the 1990s and went thru over a thousand students in six week courses.
In a few weeks I am going to start making and posting videos for free on this subject using the new Bends Harmonicas!

What I will do sometimes with my Shaker Dynamic is turn the volume knob back about 3 clicks from wide open and run the amp (my little pignose or 5 watt Valve Jr.) really hot. This way when I play backup (rhythm) with the band there is no chance for feedback and the volume will not compete with the other musicians/vocals that should be out front.

Then as it is time for me to take a lead, just as I start to play,I will reach around with my right hand(holding the Shaker mic and harp in my left hand) and turn the volume knob WIDE open)It will not feedback as long as you are playing. Then just as you finish your lead, reach around and turn it back 3 to 4 notches from wide open, and you have no feedback and ready to play in the background.

Thanx to all of you for watching. Here are all of the ones I have made so far.

Also, within the next month I will start doing video reviews of the new Bends Harmonicas. They are on there way now to me from South America.I will be doing reviews on the diatonics first and then the chromatics.

Oh yes, forgot to mention that I have the Pignose volume about half way wide open or a little less. The Pignose overdrives almost like a tube amp, that is why it sounds so big in the video.
