I ordered this a couple of weeks ago from FilmBaby, but they were out of stock. My copy finally arrived yesterday and it was well worth the wait! I watched it twice through immediately and it'll get a third airing very soon (I'm snowed in and tucked up in bed with man-flu. God bless the wireless laptop!)
It's not a video about technique at all, it's about performance. He shows you tips and tricks that will make your playing dynamic and exciting and above all entertaining.
I honestly cannot praise the video enough. Even if you gain nothing from the advice he gives, you get his amazing playing and some very witty dialogue. I could fill a whole thread with quotes. My favourite goes along the lines of "The blues is all about avoiding hard work".
If you front a band you'll get a lot out of this. If you want to stand out at a jam you'll learn some tricks (yup the cigar trick's there!).
I'm in the UK, so with transatlantic delivery charges it was a bit more than your ususal DVD - it cost about the same as a new harp. Worth every penny! Get your copy now while it's back in stock!

Thanks for that review Mr VL. I had noted its release, and I'm going to order it now based on your recommendation.

MrVerylongusername does not jest! The coolest aspect of the DVD is just listening to Rick Estrin expound his theory in regards to what playing blues harp is all about. MrVL mentions--this is not a how to play the harmonica video, he wisely leaves that to Adam, Barrett, Gindick, etc...This is what you should be doing after you've learn from those guys and plan on taking it to a different level of performance. Dovetails nicely with all the blues harp instructionals. I've got a longer review posted at www.bushdogblues.blogspot.com Anyway--
