Hi guys, i thought i would share my experience on the amp i newly bought .A blackheart little giant combo 5w/3w. I know now why they called it little giant. The sound is huge for a five watt i have a champ 600 that i usually play with ,when playing with our band i have to crank it all the way up but with the black heart half the volume is necessary .I play with a bullet mic an I didn’t have any feedback,i love the sound ,it is much more detailed than the champ the 12 inch speaker delivers nice bass. I tried with a low F and it was excellent . I’am far to be an expert but I am sure that I won’t be the only one to love it for harp. I might make a video review on the harpfriend channel one of these days .The only drawback is the weight 17 kg ,but it is build like a tank .
For 350 usd/271 euros you get a lot for you money. They have a 15/7watt version too.It might not be suited for those who wants all the bells and whisles but will certainly do fine(and more) for the rest of us.One word,go and try one ! (and give your feedback too)

Very cool Chris, Good chance your amp will sound even better once the speaker is broken in. Any idea what make speaker is in it? Epiphone is using Eminence special designs and Eminence Lady Lucks and I love them. when I went larger wattage with modded Bogen Amps I bought another 12" cab w/ the Em Lady Luck to go with them.

I've got a new amp too! It's a third (upgraded) version of Epiphone Valve Junior with Eminence speaker. The guy sold me it for less than a half of a present regular price. He even gave me an extra preamp tube :). This baby is really sweet, nice bottom and also honk (8" speaker) so I think it would break up in a band. It plays excellent with my Astatic 10C, it gives a great chicago style tone at about 20% of volume. Great purchase for a few bucks. The feedback is an issue, but not so terrible as you might suppose.

Nice. I like Eminence speakers for Harp, they have low break up point. If they are like other Eminence speakers they will be broken in after about 25-40 hours of playing. I read a post somewhere that a guy played his stereo thru his just to break it in sooner!!! Good Luck and good times with your new toy

I bought a used one, so I thinks it's already broken up :). But yeah, it get's that lovely distortion very quickly. But suprosingly, now I find that my mini Danelectro HoneyTone is really Tube-sounding. To my ears they have much in common, but in Epi sound is better and meatier. cm16600, when we could hear your new toy? :)

Nice review, well done! Looks like youve got yourself a nice amp there, although its really difficult to get a good feel for the sound I think, due to the limitations of our typical recording gear. I enjoyed listening to the nice compilation of your playing.
