I could be wrong - but I haven't heard much chat on this forum about Rory McLeod - a cockney (I think) folk player who does some great Sonny Terry type stuff. he also tap dances, acapella's and has amazing percussive talent on several strange instruments, including the spoons. HIs harmonica playing is strange and unique.
He has a wide range of talents - and apparently used to be a circus clown and fire eater!

and here's a track with an interesting name - "Farewell Welfare"

I'd be interested to know what people think - if they haven't heard him already.

yea - totally - my uncle told me about him, said that apparently he's sort of a folk singer - I thought he'd be a bit of a Dylan/shitty/wheezy sort of player so I was pretty surprised when I heard how good he was.

Brilliant! I saw Rory in the 90s, good to be reminded how great he is.
Has Benjamin Darvill (Son of Dave) ever acknowledged him as an influence? There is a lot of similarity
