Anybody opened up the Seydels and embossed them? I have done this to my other harps but of course they're not stainless steel which is a very hard alloy. The wife has given me two seydel's and I'd like to tighten up the gaps.

I do it all the time, it's not much different than brass plates.

As a matter of interest - is the sound much different from brass harps? I've heard that they last longer...

Chris,I think you're right about the sound. I used two different harps and played the same thing for my wife and she couldn't pick out the seydel over the Lee oskar. I think I can here tonal differences between the two but I also realize that the Seydels bottom is wide open making it louder. I'm going to emboss my new A harp today. The 3 hole and the 9 hole aren't as responsive as they should be. Chris, I really appreciate your input.

IT'S CERTAINLY A COMPROMISE OF MY PRINCIPLES TO SUCCUMB TO ASSHOLES THAT CHOOSE TO PASS JUDGEMENT. IF THERE IS AN OPTION TO REDUCE FONT SIZE I WILL BUT SOMETIMES IT ISN'T AN OPTION.

In my opinion an asshole would be someone who keeps doing something that the majority of others have(sometimes politely, sometimes not) asked him not to. I'm glad to see you stopped using all caps and compromised, that speaks for your character.
But then again, there's alot to be said about going against the grain. Sometimes ya just gotta be yourself no matter what everybody says.
