Seasick Steve has got very, very, big in Europe lately, have you guys in the states heard of him? He is from Clarksdale and now lives in Norway and plays guitar and sings the blues. He has a 3 string guitar with the wrong strings on.
He played the Royal Albert hall in London

Think he lives in Norfolk UK. What a character. He was up for a Brit Music Award yesterday as best newcommer. He's over 60. Good on him. ---------- When I'm not blowing, I'm drawing.

Yeah, sounds great! Never been real good on the guitar myself but seem tempted to remove 3 strings & see if it is any easier? Could be twice as difficult though. Like his stomp box. None of the above links work here ie BBC channels are marked as only being available in UK. There is however plenty about Steve on Youtube.

@aussiesucker: i checked it out and i didn't think it was so much easier to play (IMO not more intuitive anyway). So it'll be back to playing my one string jams on the normal guitar. ---------- http://www.youtube.com/germanharpist

Even here in Nevada we know Seasick Steve is Righteous! "I started out with nothing and I still got most of it left." Look it up.... I think Seasick and Son of Dave have the groove, you know?

I have heard of Seasick Steve many times--but I frequent a slide guitar forum that he gets mentioned on now and then. I like his stuff very much--raw and gutsy--but always with a great rhythm!
