I just got a similar harp today in the mail. Its from my wife's great aunt's estate sale. I got two harps, and I might bring them by Joe Filisko on Monday to check them out.

so...Philo...let me guess. You live a 20 minute walk from Joe's house and...and...Kim Wilson is just 15 minutes the other way, so you'll drop by after Joe's and...and...you'll all meet at Rick Estrin's across the back alley after dinner and all go down to the end of the block to jam all night at Dave Barrett's masterclass.
Man it sucks living out in the boonies. :)

Kim is in Chicago? Actually, its a pain for me to stop by Old Town School on Monday night. I'm not a student, so I'll have to hit the bar afterwards, which starts around 10:30. And I have to work Tuesday morning, so it will be a late one for me.

Well it finally arrive yesterday! I checked it against
Pat Mission's page on dating MB's and it's an early
thirties mouse ears but it's in very good shape. I'd say it's barely been played. Covers are still shiny, no wear marks or dents. Took the covers off and there's no gunk or plate rust. Only tiny touch of rust inside the covers. I've been reviewing Elk River Dave's youtube vid on cleaning these puppies so later this week I'll pull the plates, clean 'em, maybe sand and seal the comb and make sure all the reeds are unobstructed, re-assemble and see how she plays. Gaps look right on so I'll leave that alone for now.

I'll try and put some photos on my Harmonica Space home page. That's if I can figure out which daughter is hoarding the digital camera!

How much do you play it? Have you done anything to it?
I'm thinking of rounding the comb and reed plate corners. (If I can't afford a Ricci custom I'll make my own!!! :)
