As many of you, I enjoy listening to a variety of harmonica artists.
My three year old is in the backseat and says as J.J. Milteau starts up on the car stereo, "No, Dad. I don't want to hear 'monica music. I want to hear cool music."
Ouch! (I made him listen him to the news.)

For enforced recreational listening for a three year old, I could not think of a finer 'monica player!
I did the same to my kids years ago..:-)

some kids just have different tastes. mine don't like blues at all. it swings to much and has melodies. i listen to there stuff and some day they may figure out that the blues is the father of most of the music they listen to.

My youngest is 21 yrs. old and all I gotta' say is enjoy it now as the time went by so swiftly for me. Good you are spending time with your child as you'll always wish that you had spent more time with them no matter how much you spend with them while they are young. I've found that it is actually the bonding with them that creates the appreciation of what you like versus the time exposed to it. Just a few thoughts from an old guy. Harp on...

If I play near my 2 year old son, he sticks his fingers in his ears, and then pulls them out when I stop. My 4 YO daughter tells me to play my "honnymonger" outside. Shes always called it a "honnymonger" since she was little, and I havent corrected her, cause its kind of cute!

Well, try getting the little music critic a little plastic harp. Actually, Coast2coast has one called the GroovyHarp. Used brightly colored turbo harp lids! They may turn out to be the next young harmonica protege!
Short of that, good luck. My wife does not like most harp music. My kid is 38 so he is at the age where he humors his old stepdad. He does have ecletic music tastes.
Anyway, that Groovy harp looks cool in the photo!!
