I might have already found out about this from this forum--but I just don't remember.
Anyway--there is a free software out there that I have been using to do the Slowdowner stuff--in case you don't want to pay the $50 for Slowdowner.
I have been using it for about a week and it seems to work fine on my PC with Vista op sys.
For more info--and to download it--

Thanks, Oldwailer!
Just downloaded it and will give it a try. Seems to be fairly simple and just does the job.
I like free stuff!

There's a lot of software that's great for practice. Here's what I'm using:
Wavepad: - I use this to record and hear myself. - I also use this to slow down tunes for better analysis
Bendometer: - my free subscription is almost up, but i love it. I'm a visual learner, so this works great. Especially if you've got a good pc microphone.
EarMaster Pro: http://www.earmaster.com/pro/ - This is a great peice of software, I've not played any instruments prior to the harmonica -- so I'll capitalize on anything that helps me advance my 'ear'

Audacity is free, can edit and string together clips, make loops, record anything from your soundcard (videos, mic input, keyboard input, CDs), change pitch, slow down, highlight certain frequencies and a whole lot more. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
