A viewer of my Youtube videos has emailed me with a fascinating find: apparently blues/R&B sax players have decided that my harp licks are a great resource. Check out this link (and thanks to Andy V., who sent it to me). Please ignore the snarky comments they make about other harp players:

As for the moments they question my sanity: I really don't think that guys who "lip" reeds should be talking. :)

As if you haven't done enough for the instrument already, now you've brought it full circle. The Harp greats copied sax players, and now sax players are copying you.
Hats off, applaud, standing ovation.
Thank you for bringing all of us along on this fantastic ride for the last two years.

Full circle, indeed. I think there's a bit of irony in that. Not being a music theory guy, I was intrigued by the reference to "horizontal lines" and "vertical riffs". What does that mean?

Also on page 2 a couple of guys say they feel like taking up the harp after seeing the Great Guss work his magic!

Oh man this is just too funny. And amazing at the same time.
My favorite line, "He's sitting in his car at a crossroads for symbollic reasons. He's pretty kooky but he knows his stuff. There's another one in the car at night at the crossroads and a Mississippi state trooper stops by to see if he's ok. He occassionally gets distracted by birds, butterflies and kudzu too. :|"
Adam, don't EVER change the way you do things on your lessons.
Let them question your sanity all they want, they're lapping up YOUR riffs and lines now! :)

Thats some pretty cool stuff Adam..."gets distracted by birds, butterflies and kudzu"----Thats hilarious. Then he says-
"Watch the intro on this one and tell me that you don't question the guy's sanity" LOL But i've been questioning Adam's insanity for a year now......have you heard "Fly high like a bird in the sky" song at the Philly Folk Festival.....INSANE. But, that's why we are here. To become INSANE like that. -------------------------
Lessons 28-29 - CC Rider Lesson 27 - Slow Blues Intro + Chicken Shack(3:12)
We've all heard Chicken Shack on horn, but I can't way to try it with the inflections that he's using on harp. He also mentions a blues tenor player named Houston Person that I was not familiar with who I plan on checking out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN8gFDL-Zvo ---------- ---Go Bears!!!
