Hey Guys,
Adam puts a load of effort into this and and in the 2 yr birthday (MBH 173) he mentions if we all send $1 he would do Ok out of it. Well $1 is not much money individually but lets face it plenty of us proffit musically from his efforts.
I have Just sent my $1 Paypal donation using the link on this site as I feel we all should.
Send $1 and reply to this topic to give a rough guide of where we are at.

A grand total of five people--you guys--have sent the $1 that I mentioned as a "suggested donation" on my last video. I thank you. But the idea is clearly not one whose time has come.
(Two or three other people also made somewhat larger donations. I'm grateful for those, too.
Rather than hoping for an onslaught of digital dollars, I'm thinking that there's another, even cheaper, and even more practical way that y'all can help me.
Perhaps you've already done one or the other of the two things I'm going to suggest, but either or both of them would really be a gift:
1) If you have a website, create a permanent link--on your "links" page, for example--to www.modernbluesharmonica.com. Let people know what I'm doing here.
2) If you have an email list--friends, business associates, whatever--and you can figure out a plausible rationale for doing so, send out an email and let folks know what I'm doing here. I get several emails every day from friends & acquaintances in which they forward tasteless jokes, for example. Surely Modern Blues Harmonica deserves as much.
Now, I do understand if you'd prefer to keep this place your own little secret--a subcultural thing, not for general consumption. In that case, please send $$$. :)

I just bought something from MBH the other day, so I'll contribute to the cause by continuing to support Adam's commercial efforts. I'm also a Gussow evangelist whenever I can work it in to a conversation. I'm sure I'm speaking to the converted here...

Adam, I've bought quite a few lessons from "the store". I really liked the JLH boogie. I would really enjoy and purchase you covering your mentor Nat Riddles and some of his techniques. Him and Mr.Satan on "Mean Old World" rock, but I cuss the New York wind on that day when I hear it, it's very raw and powerful. You were blessed to learn from Nat.
Thanks

How much time do some folks spend here? how many leads to free stuff do you get her and how much money to dyou save by learning more about good or bad choices? This is about the best harp site going. A couple of bucks is well worth ensuring that it is funded. Some great players here too with advice.
Thanks again, Adam. Between finding you free on YouTube and this forum plus your reasonable pay for lessons, you and Mr Gindick's book have been my best influence. Valuable resource here. And I promise, when people hear my crappy playing, I will tell them I learned from Jason Ricci of Dave Gage. (good people)

Hey Adam, speaking of commerce, maybe it's an appropriate time to ask about the status of your road trip novel. You posted for advance reviewers about a month ago. Is it coming to an amazon.com near me any time soon? I bet if you published it electronically and sold it on your site you'd move copies. I'll definitely buy it as soon as it's out.

I have donated $1 in acknowledgment of great work rendered and hopes of more to come! I also picked up the first jam tracks set last week. Nothing but counting and attempting to jam lately for me :) . Thank you for your time and efforts Adam.
