I've been playing Lee Oskars for twenty years. I liked the replacement reed system, and I liked being unique: everyone else played Honer. Recently I've learned that there are actual different tunings on standard diatonics (NOT the alternate tunings of different models of Lee Oskars.) Lee Oskars are tuned so the single notes sound good when soloing, but sacrifice chord sounds. Honers are tuned so the chords sound good.
What are the philosophies of the other harp manufacturers? Seydel, Suzuki, Hering, Huang, etc?

I happen to like Lee Oskars too and in particular I like the altered tunings ie Natural Minors, Harmonic Minors & Melody Makers as they all open up new musical experiences.
However I think the tuning differences you refer to are Just Intonation & Equal Temperament. Most harps are ET tuned eg Lee Oskars which are better for single note playing. The Marine Band is JI tuning which is better for chords.

AFAIK...
The Suzuki Fabulous and the Hering 1923 are the only truly JI harps out of the box. Seydel now offer it as an extra if you order direct from them, but it costs.
Most Hohner (not Golden melodies) and Seydel harps are compromise tuned - close to JI, but with some notes which can seem too flat in strict JI, sweetened a little.
With the exception of the JI version of the Fabulous, all Suzuki harps are 12Tone Equal tempered as are Lee Oskars, Bushman Delta Frosts, most Herings and pretty much anything that comes from Far Eastern companies. Again Seydel offer this tuning as an add-on option.
